Privacy policy

Fief needs your position to count, and that is the only reason it reads it. The processing happens on your iPhone. The app has no account, no position server, no ads and no analytics, and its privacy manifest declares to Apple that it collects no data.
1. Your position
With your consent, Fief reads your position: on significant location changes and visits in the background with “Always” access, continuously only while the app is open. The country and département are derived from an atlas built into the app. Your positions never leave your iPhone. Raw positions are erased after 90 days; the counted time segments stay.
2. Your data
Stays, conquests, titles, quests, scores and settings are stored only on your iPhone. Fief uses no account, no iCloud sync and no Game Center. In settings you can export the history as JSON or erase everything, permanently.
3. The signed time
To check the time without trusting the phone's clock, Fief queries a LaCobble service hosted by Cloudflare (integritykit-time.blazers-star1n.workers.dev). The request carries only a random number; the response is a signed time. No position, no identifier, no cookie. The service stores nothing and keeps no log. Like any Internet request, it goes through your IP address, which Fief does not use to locate anything.
4. The base map
The app's map uses Apple Maps (MapKit): iOS loads the tiles from Apple's servers, under Apple's privacy policy. Fief passes on neither your history nor your conquests. Counting does not depend on this base map.
5. Sharing
The poster, the year card and challenge links only leave when you send them yourself. The images only show territories and totals, with no position or date of passage. Challenge links only contain a nickname, scores, or a territory and a date, and go through no Fief server.
6. Notifications
If you allow them, notifications (new territory, 30 min to go, conquest, title) are worked out and scheduled on the iPhone. No server is involved.
7. No trackers
No ads, no analytics tools, no advertising identifier, no tracking across apps or sites.
8. This site
This site only uses Google Analytics if you accept it in the banner. The support form sends your name, email and message to the LaCobble support service, only so we can reply.
